The Nurture Circle Kids’ Run

The Nurture Circle offers slow, mindful, nature-based, child-led experiences for children and families.

About the Class

The Nurture Circle Kids’ Run at Bandra Fort is an invitation for children and parents to begin the day with movement, fresh sea air and togetherness. It is not a race. There is no clock to beat and no one to compete with. Children are welcome to jog, walk, pause, hold a hand, look at the waves and find their own rhythm.

Our intention is to help little ones notice what their bodies can do in a safe, supportive space. The focus is on joy, confidence and connection. Listening to their bodies is the only real rule.

To keep the morning gentle and age appropriate, we have created three categories:

Age groups and distances

  • 3 to 4 years
  • A fun 500 mts

A parent or caregiver must walk or jog alongside.

  • 4 to under 6 years
  • Up to 1 km at a playful, unhurried pace

A parent or caregiver must walk or jog alongside.

  • 6 to 9 years
  • Up to 2 km at a steady, comfortable pace

A parent or caregiver is strongly encouraged to be nearby on the route.

  • 9 to 12 years
  • Up to 3 km for children who are ready for a slightly longer loop

Parents and caregivers are welcome to join in or cheer along the way.

Children can move at any pace and can take breaks whenever they need. On the day of the event, our volunteers will happily shorten the distance for any child who has had enough. Finishing the full loop is never as important as feeling happy and safe.

About The Nurture Circle

author
The Nurture Circle

The Nurture Circle is focused on slow, mindful, nature-based experiences for children and families, emphasizing movement, exploration, creativity, and connection with nature.

Their content includes outdoor play and learning in relaxed environments, creative sessions like gardening, pottery, music, drum circles, and yoga that encourage sensory engagement and child-led exploration, and family-centered spaces for pausing and feeling more centered in everyday life.

They promote an approach with hands-on experiences, movement as a core way for kids to engage with the world, and a calmer philosophy grounded in intention and presence rather than rigid rules. Their "no rush, no rules" messaging supports natural rhythms, curiosity, and connection—reflecting trends in mindful parenting and nature-based early childhood education.
