Ritu Jalan holds a Trinity College London Diploma in Communication Skills with Distinction and founded The Stage is Set in 2009 after realising that people who communicate with clarity and warmth naturally create more opportunities. With 17 years of experience and over 2,000 students taught across India and abroad, she has built a space for drama, communication, and public speaking rooted in the belief that every child deserves to be heard. Her students have won city-level competitions, and she is regularly invited to judge elocution events.
About the Workshop
Every child has a superhero inside them. This workshop gives them the stage, the story, and the tools to let it out — through drama, movement, and the kind of creative play that turns hesitation into conviction.
A drama and communication workshop for children aged 5-9 years, facilitated by Ritu Jalan of The Stage is Set. Children move through power poses, superhero creation, drama scenes, and confidence-building activities — in a safe, encouraging space where there are no wrong moves, only discoveries.
What Children Do Here:
Superhero creation and drama
Every superhero needs a story. Children build theirs from scratch and then act it out.
- Power poses and energetic movement warm-ups to open every session with intention
- Creating an original superhero complete with powers, weaknesses, and a personality
- Acting out save-the-day drama scenes that put their superhero to the test
Voice, expression and confidence
The tools that make a speaker unforgettable — practised through play rather than pressure.
- Voice, expression, imagination, and stage presence explored through games
- Fun conversations about real-life experiences and emotions
- Confidence Circle sharing activities where every child's voice gets its moment
What your child takes away:
- Greater confidence in speaking and self-expression
- The ability to think on their feet through drama
- Stronger empathy and teamwork
- A clearer sense of their own strengths and voice
