About the Workshop

The Model United Nations Simulation by SkillSphere Education (E-MUN) is an online, 3-hour committee session that offers students an immersive Model UN experience. 

Salient Features:

  • The Simulation follows the UNA-USA Rules of Procedure
  • This is a Simulation & not a training session. Participants may register only if they understand MUN procedures

Schedule:

  • Simulation Day: Specific Saturday, as published
  • Preceding Tuesday: Registrations Close
  • Preceding Wednesday: Country & Details Shared with Participants 
    •  Allotted country, committee name, and position paper brief sent to parents.

More about E-MUN  |  UNA-USA Procedure

The Senior E-MUN Simulation is a 3-hour committee session conducted using the UNA-USA Rules of Procedure. Students experience the full arc of a real MUN conference — from Roll Call through Lobbying, the General Speakers List, Moderated and Unmoderated Caucuses, Draft Resolution Writing, and Voting Procedure. Two to three moderated caucus topics are debated in depth, with dedicated time for bloc formation and collaborative drafting of resolutions.

  • Committee Session Flow:
    • Roll Call and setting the agenda
    • General Speakers List (GSL) — formal speeches representing each country's position
    • Moderated Caucuses — 2 to 3 focused topic debates with structured speaking time
    • Unmoderated Caucuses — lobbying, bloc formation, and informal negotiations
    • Draft Resolution Writing — collaborative drafting of preambulatory and operative clauses
    • Voting Procedure — formal voting on draft resolutions
  • Delegate Preparation:
    • Country position on the committee's agenda
    • Position Paper — country stance, relevant policies, and proposed solutions
    • Opening speech for the GSL
  • Recognition:
    • All participants receive a certificate of participation
    • Each Simulation offers an award for the Best Delegate & Verbal Mention
