About the Program

The Mother–Toddler Program is designed for children aged 8–16 months, with one parent or caregiver participating alongside the child.

Each 1-hour session includes:

  • Circle time
  • Sensory exploration
  • Creative and developmental activities
  • Music, songs and movement
  • Guided play and discovery
  • Parent-child bonding
  • Opportunities to interact and socialise with other families

Each session has a fresh focus, introducing children to different experiences and skills while maintaining the familiarity of the same warm environment.

Learning Outcomes

The program supports the development of:

  • Fine Motor Skills – grasping, holding and exploring
  • Gross Motor Skills – movement and coordination
  • Hand-Eye Coordination – focus and control
  • Communication – sounds, words and expression
  • Sensory Development – learning through touch, sight, sound and exploration
  • Social Development – becoming comfortable around other children and families
  • Confidence & Independence – gradually becoming comfortable in a group setting

The program also helps strengthen the parent-child bond and gently prepares children for a future transition to independent classes.

Important terms

  • Only 1 parent or 1 nanny/caregiver is permitted per child.
  • The program is structured as a monthly program. The fee mentioned is monthly. 
  • Missed sessions cannot be carried forward, adjusted or compensated.
  • Food and snacks are not permitted during class. Parents may take a short break outside if the child needs to eat.
  • A strict no-refund policy applies once the monthly fee has been paid.
  • If a session is cancelled by the teacher/House of Whimsy, the session will be adjusted accordingly.
  • Participants are expected to follow all venue/society rules.
