A story can be heard. Or it can be touched, squished, poured, painted and played with.
Messy Wonder Club is a weekly sensory storytelling experience for children aged 2.5 to 4 years, where stories become the starting point for open-ended play, process art and imaginative exploration. Each session combines storytelling with thoughtfully planned sensory experiences, giving children different ways to engage with the characters, ideas and themes they encounter.
What Children will Explore
Stories brought to life
Each session begins with a story that sets the theme for the day. Children are encouraged to follow the characters, ideas and language as the story unfolds.
Sensory play & process art
Textures, colours and hands-on materials extend the story into play, giving children the freedom to explore and create without working towards one fixed outcome.
Imagination & creative expression
Open-ended activities invite children to respond to the story in their own way, make choices and bring their ideas to life.
Skills that grow through play
As children listen, create and explore, they naturally build vocabulary, fine motor skills, confidence, curiosity and social interaction.
