About the Event

One special day. Many precious moments.

For one morning, the lovely spaces of Meraki turn into a little world of music, making, sensory play and stories, created for children and parents to enjoy side by side.

At its heart is a never-before coming together of some of the finest children’s experiences, all in one place. The Music Aunty and Messy Wonder by Vriti come to Chembur for the very first time, alongside Skillo DIY Parties and Once Upon a Library, making this a morning that will be hard to recreate.

  • Sing & Sway Square | The kind of music that has a whole room under its spell.
    • The Music Aunty has a remarkable way of drawing everyone in, from the child watching quietly at first to the grown-up singing along moments later. Songs, rhythm and movement flow into one another until the whole room feels part of the music
    • With The Music Aunty: Priyanka Seth Pandit has spent two decades working in early childhood music and education. A Columbia University-trained educator and certified Music Together Master Teacher, she founded India’s first Music Together programme and has worked with more than 3,000 families across Mumbai.

  • Self-Love Studio | A little self-expression, made by hand.
    • Children turn their own hairbrush into a small work of art, choosing and arranging the details that make it unmistakably theirs. It is creative, personal and, best of all, something they will continue to use long after the day is over.
    • With Skillo DIY Parties: Skillo creates hands-on DIY experiences where children make something from scratch and take home what they have created. With workshops and parties across multiple Indian cities, their emphasis stays firmly on the pleasure and pride of making with your own hands.

  • Squish & Scoop Garden | Where getting messy is entirely the point.
    • Scoop, pour, squish, mix and linger over an inviting world of textures and materials. There is no one thing to produce and no prescribed way to play, just plenty for curious hands to investigate, plus a sensory takeaway to continue with at home.
    • With Messy Wonder by Vriti: Messy Wonder is known for turning stories and ideas into rich sensory worlds through open-ended play, process art and thoughtfully chosen materials. Vriti’s sessions give children the freedom to follow their own curiosity rather than work towards a fixed outcome. This is Messy Wonder’s first time in Chembur.

  • Reading Nook | For stories worth slowing down for.
    • In between the music, making and messy play is a place to simply choose a book and settle in. Children and grown-ups can browse together, discover something unexpected or stay awhile with a story that has caught their imagination.
    • With Once Upon a Library: Founded by early childhood educator Nitika Kariwala, the library is built around carefully chosen picture books and meaningful shared reading. Its collection of 500+ titles spans world literature and social-emotional themes for young children, with Nitika also curating reading programmes and helping families choose books with greater intention.

Four very different worlds, some much-loved facilitators, and a coming together that is happening for one special day.
