SANTA DETECTOR - Build Secret Sensors

MuSo is a unique experiential museum where children become responsible, conscious, caring and mindful citizens of the world.

About the Class

Create your own undercover Santa detector using circuitry and sensors!

Dive into the exciting world of electronics with this hands-on workshop! Kids will start by exploring the basics of circuits and sensors using snap circuits, making learning fun and accessible.

Using light or sound components, participants will design and build a custom alert that activates when someone enters their room. This practical project not only reinforces circuit concepts but also introduces real-world applications of technology. By the end of the workshop, each child will have a working alarm system to take home, along with a deeper understanding of how everyday electronic devices function.

Why to join?

  • Interactive electronics: Participants will gain practical knowledge of electronics through interactive snap circuits, making complex concepts accessible and enjoyable.
  • Practical application of technology: By creating a functional alarm, kids will see how abstract electronic principles translate into practical, everyday uses.
  • Custom-built alarm system: Children will leave the workshop with their own custom-built alarm system, a fun and useful project they can show off at home.

Learnings from Workshop:

  • Problem Solving: Designing and troubleshooting a working sensor system encourages critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Logical Thinking: Understanding and applying the principles of circuits, sensors, and activation systems helps build logical reasoning and sequencing abilities.
  • Creativity: Kids get to design a custom alarm system, fostering creativity in both the technical design and functional use of technology.

Museum of Solutions

About Muso: Children are our future—and they play a vital role in educating themselves and others to create real-world change.

To unlock this collective potential, MuSo believes that children need to be encouraged to make mistakes, dream together, celebrate learning, share knowledge, and think collaboratively. Unfortunately, most children in India are currently learning through outdated modes of instruction based on memorisation and rote learning. MuSo was conceived to address this problem by establishing a new model for child-led, purpose-driven, and curiosity-focused education.

Museum of Solutions believes that it will have an immediate and long-term impact on children, their communities, as well as the world they live in.
