Is That, a KudKud Kumbha? | Non Members

Once Upon A Library – where children discover the joy of reading.

About the Workshop

Once Upon A Library invites young readers to a thoughtful and engaging read-aloud session based on the award-winning book Is That, a KudKud Kumbha? from Karadi Tales, beautifully narrated by Nitika Aunty.

The story follows siblings Golu and Molu as they visit their grandparents in the Sahyadri Mountains and encounter a mysterious “kud kud” sound. Their curiosity leads them on a gentle quest to discover the fabled rain bird, encouraging children to observe closely, question what they hear, and appreciate how the same mystery can be understood in different ways.

Through expressive storytelling and guided conversation, children are invited to explore ideas around nature, conservation, and perception in a way that feels engaging, imaginative, and age-appropriate. The session creates space for listening, wondering, and meaningful reflection, all within a warm and welcoming library setting.

This read-aloud is designed to nurture curiosity, environmental awareness, and thoughtful thinking, while fostering a love for stories and shared experiences.
