Welcome to the STEM Discovery Studio!

What happens when curiosity meets real-world science? Discovery. This week, children explore the natural world, engineering, and technology through hands-on experiments and builds that bring ideas to life. No theory overload—just five days of making, testing, and understanding how things work, while building creativity, curiosity, and environmental awareness.

Every session includes 1 hour of hands-on STEM experimentation with Little Thinkers Lab followed by 1 hour of free play at Hamleys Play, with all activity materials thoughtfully included- because great learning deserves a great celebration!

How the Week Unfolds

Day 1 — Beavers & Their Habitat: It begins with nature’s engineers. Children learn how beavers build dams, then create their own model and experiment with water flow to see how it all works.
Day 2 — Bioplastics — Eco Suncatcher: From problem to possibility. Children explore plastic waste and sustainable alternatives, then create an eco-friendly suncatcher that blends science with creativity.
Day 3 — Squishy Bot: Soft, fun, and full of learning. Children build a playful robot using dough, LED lights, and a buzzer, discovering the basics of electronics along the way.
Day 4 — Wind Technician: Power from the air. Children build a working windmill and experiment with wind energy to understand how it can lift and move objects.
Day 5 — Corals & Pearls — Underwater Exploration: The grand finale beneath the surface. Children explore marine life, extract a pearl, and create their own coral reef model—bringing together science, discovery, and creativity.

What Your Child Will Take Away

A child who once saw nature and machines as separate will leave this week understanding how they connect. Scientific curiosity, environmental awareness, basic electronics, engineering thinking, hands-on problem-solving, and the satisfaction of building things that truly work.

Meet the Educator: The Little Thinkers Lab

The Little Thinkers Lab is a STEAM education initiative founded by Soumya Nagaraju — an MCA graduate and STEAM educator with 13 years of experience across India and Singapore. The programme designs and facilitates hands-on, play-based learning experiences with a strong emphasis on sustainability, responsible innovation, and real-world problem solving.

The Little Thinkers Lab brings together a strong foundation in technology, creativity, and child-centred pedagogy — creating sessions that are engaging, age-appropriate, and rooted in meaningful learning.

Terms and Conditions

Hamleys Play Rules & Regulations

For an accident free experience, we wish to lay down a few ground rules and conditions for the safety of our children:

All children must be below 130 cms.
Any sharp objects like hairclip, pen, buckle, jewellery, coins etc. should be removed before entering Hamleys Play.
To minimize any risk of personal injury, children are encouraged to wear trousers or leggings.
To maintain safety and hygiene diaper changing is not permitted inside Hamleys Play.
In the event that a child needs to leave Hamleys Play, the parent/guardian is responsible for taking both the children along with themselves. Therefore all leave Hamleys Play together.
Please look after your personal belongings. The management will not be held responsible for any loss or damage of any personal belongings.
To maintain safety and hygiene, please remove shoes and wear socks.
To avoid slips, trips, falls and to maintain cleanliness, food and beverages are NOT allowed in Hamleys Play.
To avoid accidents through collisions, slides should only be used to slide down and NOT to be used to climb up.
Only one person allowed at a time in the slide.
For the safety of all guests, destructive or disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated. Any guest displaying such behaviour will be requested to leave.
For the safety of everyone, person appearing to be sick or unwell will not be allowed admission inside Hamleys Play.
For the safety and security of all, any sharp or dangerous object will not be permitted inside Hamleys Play.
The management reserves the right of admission in case of non-compliance of rules and regulations.
The management will not be held responsible for any loss, theft or injury inside Hamleys Play.
To further maintain safety, all children & parents/guardians must adhere to any instructions given by the staff at all times.

Membership :

Play Area Membership is valid for 1 month from the date of purchase.
Membership is valid for one child only, non-transferable, non refundable and cannot be paused for any reason.
Please make sure you call the store one day prior to book your slot.
Entry to Play area is subject to in-store rules and regulations which are subject to change without prior notice.
Hamleys Play is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged membership cards.
Membership grants entry across all Play area at Hamleys stores.
The play area will be unavailable during private events & exclusive birthday parties.

By signing-up for the Summer Camp, the parent consents to the terms mentioned afore.
