VisMay: A Treasure Hunt at Agro-Garden| Belapur

Local Gyan turns cities into classrooms through hands-on learning, exploration, stories, and real-world experiences.

About the Workshop

Wonder is hidden in plain sight — can you discover it?
Celebrating Local Gyan’s Foundation Day, this immersive workshop transforms a simple garden visit into an evening of curiosity, observation, and discovery.

On 20 May — or Vis May in Marathi, meaning “total amazement” — children are invited to slow down, observe closely, and uncover the hidden stories within nature. Plants become more than background scenery; they become clues, questions, and pathways into a playful treasure hunt designed around the garden itself.

Through riddles, exploration, and hands-on activities, learners discover how attention and curiosity can unlock an entirely new way of seeing the world. The experience concludes with a nature-inspired art session using leaves, flowers, textures, and natural materials gathered from the surroundings.

Gullyside Local Gyan Pvt. Ltd.

Local Gyan (LG) is a movement to make our cities the classroom. Stories, science, and exploration come together to spark curiosity and critical thinking. Our workshops turn water, waste, markets, nature, and neighbourhoods into powerful learning journeys. LG’s books and resources extend this learning beyond the field trip. We work across India, starting with MMR to build city-aware, confident young citizens. Every child should understand how their city works—and how they can improve it. Our curriculum connects academic goals with lived experiences. LG is not just a programme; it is a rethink of how learning should feel. Join us in raising a generation that cares for place, people, and possibility.
