A Halloween Adventure of Stories, Building & Play

What happens when a much-loved Halloween story meets the magic of open-ended building?

This Halloween, Yaanai Studio and Troy Blocks come together for a playful parent-child experience inspired by Julia Donaldson's Room on the Broom, the delightful tale of a friendly witch whose broom keeps making room for new friends. A story filled with humour, kindness, friendship and the joy of helping one another.

The morning brings together Yaanai's interactive storytelling, music and creative play with Troy Blocks' imaginative world of construction, giving children different ways to explore the story and make a little magic of their own.

What's in Store

Storytime with Yaanai Studio
- Hop aboard the witch's broom as the story unfolds through expressive narration, playful songs and movement. Children join in with actions, sounds and little surprises along the way.
A Little Halloween Making
- Inspired by the characters and adventures in Room on the Broom, children enjoy a hands-on DIY activity, creating something of their own to take home.
Build Some Magic with Troy Blocks | 30 Minutes
- The adventure continues with 30 minutes of Halloween-themed, open-ended block play at Troy Blocks Studio.
- Children can stack, balance, connect and experiment, perhaps building a witch's tower, a home for her animal friends or a magical landing spot for her broom.
- There's no single way to build and no prescribed outcome. Every creation begins with a child's imagination, encouraging spatial awareness, problem-solving and creative thinking through play.

TROY inspires children to explore, invent and create through hands-on, open-ended play that nurtures imagination, problem-solving and creativity. Its engaging play experiences encourage collaboration, confidence and joyful learning in a supportive environment.

Yaanai Studio designs thoughtful experiences for children and families. They wonderfully weave together storytelling, sensory play, child-led art and craft activities, movement and sing-alongs. Their joyful experiences are led by the child’s pace and curiosity, not defined by an adult’s expectations.

From celebrations and children's pop-ups to parent-toddler workshops and playdates, they bring our experiences to cafes, bookstores and just about any space where children gather. And that's only the beginning :)

Please arrive 10–15 minutes before the scheduled start time.
Kindly follow the facilitators' instructions during all activities.
Children must be supervised by their accompanying parent/guardian at all times.
All activities are subject to the session schedule and availability.

Photography and videography may take place during the event.
Bookings are subject to the organiser's cancellation, rescheduling and refund policy.
