Patchu-Patchu: The Travelling Magic Blanket

A children’s festival sparking joy, imagination & new skills through hands-on workshops in art, movement, storytelling & self-expression!

About the Class

Kids come together to stitch one big shared artwork — a blanket woven from fabric, friendship, and imagination. Each child creates their own patch, filled with colour, texture, and story, which joins the larger collective piece.

But the magic doesn’t end there. After the festival, the blanket will begin its travels — visiting each child’s home one by one. With every stop, the child will add a note, drawing, or little handmade surprise for the next friend in line, turning the blanket into a moving pen-pal project.

Guided by artist Ithiri Kunjan, this workshop celebrates connection, sustainability, and the power of shared creativity — showing kids how art can travel, grow, and carry friendship wherever it goes.
